Descrição: The programme is entitled "The Wealth of the German Cinema" and is a comprehensive encyclopaedic essay on the classical German cinema. The Greek Film Archive Foundation proudly presents a rare copy of Danish S. Ray film "The Prague student" instead of "The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari", commonly shown in retrospectives. There is a concise reference to the constituent elements of the classical German cinema, Reinhardt's impact and the delayed domination of film studios in landscape shooting. It also focuses on the work of Peek, K. Mayer and Murnaou, the end of expressionism and the emergence of a new "impressionism" in Berlin, which will be the subject of another retrospective under the Film Archive Foundation.
